Wednesday 4th September marked an important day for St Gregory’ and St Mark’s, as the doors to their new joint sixth form opened in Bath.
The building was formally opened by Neil Butters, Chairman of Bath and North East Somerset. The opening event was well attended, and included several special guests, including the mayor of Bath.
The new sixth was very much in demand within the local community, and the schools were elated when they were granted funding for the project by Bath and North East Somerset Council. After all the hard work involved, pupils, teachers and the local community were overjoyed when the doors opened, four years on from when the idea was initially discussed.
The £2.4m new facility was designed by White Design and includes a state of the art learning centre, laboratories, classrooms, offices and a large atrium. Click here to see more.
"It was a great event, and it was a privilege to be there as a part of the successful story of the new facility. The feedback we received was excellent and it was great to be able to talk to some of the students and staff who are now using the New Sixth and enjoying it." - Tim Forster, Architect, White Design.
